About Blissful Belly

Let me tell you a little about Blissful Belly to see if it is the right choice for you!

I started this business because I noticed that many people today struggle with their relationship with food, unsure how to cook healthy food, as well as digestive issues like bloating and constipation/diarrhea.

I too have struggled with these issues and barriers to feeling my best. I hope to help you become excited about nutritious food again and to feel your best!

I’ve always believed that to truly help an individual you have to look towards the root of the issue through a mind, body, and spirit approach. Unlike most dietitians I have a degree in culinary nutrition, this means that I studied not only dietetics, but how to create delicious food and can teach you to do the same!

While working in India I gained knowledge in ancient systems of medicine, such as Ayurveda. This experience helped me understand functional medicine as we see it today. Traditional systems of medicine focus on the fact that everyone is unique and through understanding the individual, their diet, lifestyle, and thoughts/feelings, we can understand how to treat them effectively.

Who can Blissful Belly help?

We help everyone who is ready to make positive changes in their life!

Are you done with feeling tired, bloated, and unsure of what to eat?

Are you ready to feel good again and have a positive relationship with food?

Are you ready to learn how to make healthy food that will nourish your body?

I specialize in gastrointestinal issues such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), and other functional digestive disorders. After suffering from gastrointestinal distress for years myself I find this to be foundational. I also have a strong background in treating diabetes, prediabetes, and blood sugar dysregulation.

I take a mindful and intuitive eating approach to weight loss and dietary changes in general. I’ve worked with too many people that have been yo-yo dieting for years and I don’t believe that putting someone on another restrictive diet is the right move. With that being said, temporary therapeutic diets may necessary for those with particular gastrointestinal disorders. However, my overall goal for you is to find a balance with what you are eating that is good for your body while still consuming foods you enjoy.

About Savannah Cass

I am Savannah Cass, a registered dietitian, chef, Kundalini yoga instructor, as well as proud owner of Blissful Belly. Blissful Belly helps you achieve your health goals through nutrition consultations. Through my unique education and experience, I bring to the Yakima, Tri-Cities, and Seattle area a new approach to the world of health and wellness.

After graduating from Johnson & Wales University with a degree in Culinary Nutrition and finishing my dietetics program at Tulane University, I lived in India seeking to learn the ancient art of Ayurvedic medicine along with Indian cuisine. Therefore, I am able to offer a unique consultation with traditional ways of healing that have been practiced for centuries, healing the individual instead of the disease. I strive not only to resolve symptoms, but also to help you become your most radiant self.

After becoming a dietitian in 2017 I completed a two year herbal studies program at David Winston’s Center for Herbal Studies. I incorporate the principles of herbal medicine and natural healing into my practice. I also have a Masters of Science in Functional Medicine and Human Nutrition from University of Western States. Along with being a registered dietitian, I am a chef and have worked in many different kitchens providing delicious and nutritious meals specializing in therapeutic diets, dietary restrictions, and food intolerances.

My passion for nutrition, health, and mindfulness have all contributed to the creation of Blissful Belly.

I look forward to working with you!
